The Campbell County Animal Shelter is hosting its first-ever Field Day on Saturday, September 10, from 9am to 2pm!
Join the Campbell County Animal Shelter this Saturday, September 10, at 1989 Poplar Ridge Road, Melbourne, KY 41059.
In an effort to raise money for the Shelter's medical fund, the Field Day will have lots going on for you to enjoy. The Campbell County Public Library will have activities for the kids; the Campbell County Police will grill the food; and we'll have K-9 and Search and Rescue dogs doing demos. There will also be raffles and split-the-pot. Licking Valley Veterinary Services will provide a public rabies vaccine clinic, and local animal rescues will do adoptions.
Campbell County has partnered with Target Zero to increase the live outcome rate for all of the animals in our Shelter. We are currently only able to provide vet care for animals with non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses through their legal stray hold. In most cases, this isn't a "fix" for the underlying problem, and, if the animal is not claimed, it is euthanized.
The funds raised at the Field Day will be placed into our medical fund to treat non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses so those animals can be placed for adoption. We want to provide these animals the best care so they are able to be adopted, and your support of our Field Day will help make that happen!
Please contact the Animal Shelter if you have questions or would like more information.
