The fourth annual Festival on the Lake returns to A.J. Jolly Park on Saturday, August 13, 11am-11pm.
The Festival is Campbell County’s premiere music and wine festival, featuring many of the area’s finest bands, wineries, craft beers, food, crafts, and fun activities for the whole family. Admission is free, but parking is $10/carload or $5/single. The 2016 Festival music lineup is the best that’s been assembled so far! Festival activities will include kids’ games, face painting, nature activities, canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, fishing derby, BB gun range, archery, cruise-in, antique machinery, parade of breeds (horses), pony rides, and tree climbing. This year, all activities (except for those at the Environmental Education Center) will be in the main area of the park.
The 2016 Festival on the Lake performances will include appearances by:
- Blessid Union of Souls,
- Dallas Moore Band,
- Brent James and the Vintage Youth,
- Johnny Fink and the Intrusion,
- Flying Underground,
- Roger Klug Power Trio,
- Mudpies (with special guest Rob Fetters),
- LOVECRUSH 88,
- Ric Hickey,
- Chalk Eye,
- Borderline, and
- The Campbell County Community Band, with a special tribute to our veterans, to open it all.
Participating wineries include Rose Hill Farm, StoneBrook Winery, Elk Creek Vineyards, Seven Wells Vineyard, Redman Farm, and Atwood Hill; we’ll also have beer from Stagnaro’s and Braxton Brewery.
The Festival on the Lake is hosted by the Jolly Park Community Development Council, a 501(c)(3) citizens organization, which works to improve the recreational and educational opportunities at A.J. Jolly Park. Proceeds from the Festival on the Lake are used to benefit A.J. Jolly Park’s programs and future improvements at the park.
