Campbell County is Kentucky’s eighth most populous county and one of its three northernmost- just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. Campbell County offers a blend of vibrant urban areas, suburban communities, and pristine rural land across the county through 15 incorporated municipalities.

We are excited for all the new projects spanning throughout the County. From a groundbreaking $1 billion dollar river-front mixed-use development, a $100+ million dollar high-tech Health Innovation Center, $100+ million dollar University Town Center, $100+ million dollar entertainment district, to a Double-Gold award winning urban bourbon distillery, 140+ acre river-front development, revitalized apartments and state-of-the-art condos, a transformational greenway initiative, and a 300+ Acre subdivision with 1,000+ units of high-end homes and condos.

In the City of Newport, at the confluence of the Licking and Ohio Rivers is a state and local government-supported signature TIF project. Ovation will be a $1 Billion dollar mixed-use development that forecasts to generate 6,700 jobs and $1.7 billion in annual economic impact upon completion.

NKU Health Innovation Center

In the City of Highland Heights, a $105 million dollar project, the Health Innovation Center (HIC) is home to Northern Kentucky University’s College of Health Professions and the Institute for Health Innovation. The state-of-the-art technology and learning centers–including the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Simulation Center–make the HIC one of the largest and most comprehensive health professions buildings in the country.

NKU Town Center Project

In the City of Highland Heights, a $112 million dollar pedestrian-scaled, mixed-use “town and gown” style district is being developed at the Northern Kentucky University (NKU) campus gateway. At full buildout, the site is expected to feature new restaurants, retail space, market-rate apartments, a hotel, structured parking and great new public gathering spaces. While at the same time, across the street will house an approximately 65,000-square-foot medical office building that will be occupied by St. Elizabeth Healthcare and OrthoCincy. Just a few feet to the east is an $80 million expansion of Newport on the Levee- Aqua on the Levee. “Aqua” features 238 luxury apartments, 8,300 square feet of retail, an 800-car parking garage, and the region's first Aloft hotel.

New Riff Distilling

In the City of Newport, with views of the Cincinnati skyline we have an award winning bourbon distillery in the urban core, New Riff. “We are a new riff on an old tradition, that tradition or theme being Kentucky Bourbon. New Riff was founded in 2014 by Ken Lewis, a visionary Kentucky liquor retailer and entrepreneur; and in 2018 expanded its roots in the urban core. This expansion features a barrelhouse, used to store 3,600 barrels; along with a new rickhouse to hold around 18,000 barrels. Plans include a marina, unique retail and restaurants, river walk, pedestrian plazas and a full range of housing choices. Offerings will include heritage homes, townhouses, urban lofts and an assisted living development. For more information see an overview video here and drone video here.

Kent Lofts

In the City of Bellevue, a $10 million adaptive reuse project is turning an old urban industrial building into loft-style apartments, Kent Lofts. The redevelopment of the 60,000-square-foot building will be one of the largest-ever adaptive reuse projects in Northern Kentucky’s urban core.
